Expert Workshops

In POIESIS, we aim to expand knowledge on how public trust in science is affected by aspects of research integrity and by the integration of citizens and societal stakeholders in research practices. To accomplish this goal, we are organising three Expert Workshops to bring together the European science survey community.

The participants are an international group of more than 40 academics and other professionals with extensive knowledge about indicator development in the areas of concern for POIESIS.

Each of these workshops serves different purposes through the different phases of the Project:

  • The first workshop helped us to secure data on trust, to examine different concepts of trust and their operationalisation, and to examine how such differences make a difference to interpretation or trends

  • The second expert workshop examines analogies and contrasts between the world of research and the corporate world of services and product marketing

  • The third workshop will discuss the results and implications of POIESIS analyses
